Blepharoplasty is a very common operation that is applied to the lower and upper eyelids In upper eyelid operations, incision is made from the fold and excess skin and fat tissue is removed.

In the lower eyelid, with incisions made under the eyelashes and on the inner side of the eyelashes, an aesthetic appearance is achieved by shaping the excess skin and fat tissue. Eyelid operations are usually combined with botox to remove wrinkles around the eyes.The upper eyelid procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
Surgical procedure in the lower eyelids takes 1-1.5 hours on average. During the recovery, the edema that occurs in the first few days usually subside at the end of the first week and the patient can easily resume normal activities in the second week.
