A facelift  surgery (rhytidectomy) isa  cosmetic surgery to lift up and pull back the skin to make the face tighter,younger and to take back the look of youthful lines of the face.
Facelift Surgery (Rhytidectomy)
Classical face lift surgery is performed under general or local anesthesia. During a face-lift surgery, facial soft tissues are lifted, excess skin is removed and skin is draped back over the newly repositioned contours. Incisions can be made in the hairline starting at the temples, continuing down and around the front of the ears and ending behind the ears in the lower scalp. It usually takes 2 to 3 hours, and most people need to stay in hospital overnight.
It takes about 2 to 4 weeks to fully recover from a facelift. You need to take this time off work.Bruising is visible for at least 2 weeks. It takes 6 to 9 months to see the full effect of the facelift surgery.
